Denpasar is the capital and largest city of Bali, located in the south of the island. With a population of approximately 400,000, it serves as the island's main administrative and transportation hub, housing Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Its name means "north of the market." It is characterized as a bustling city with lively markets and heavy traffic. Although many travelers use it only as a transit point to Ubud or the beaches, Denpasar offers outstanding cultural sites: Bajra Sandhi Monument: An iconic monument commemorating the struggles of the Balinese people throughout history. Bali Museum: Located in the city center, it displays a vast collection of art and archaeological artifacts. Jagatnatha Temple: The largest Hindu temple in the city, dedicated to the supreme god Sanghyang Widi Wasa. Sanur Beach: Located in the eastern district of the city, it is famous for its calm waters.
