Unique for its soil and lunar landscape, it offers one of the most unusual landscapes in Tunisia. The region is presented in the form of a succession of holes dug into the ground, giving the whole a lunar appearance, which justifies the choice of Matmata for the exterior filming of "Star Wars." There, you will visit one of the troglodyte dwellings. Breakfast and departure for El Jem to visit its Roman amphitheater. Its architecture is imposing due to the type of material used for its construction: sandstone from the Mahdia area, a durable and easy-to-carve stone. The coliseum is the third largest in the world and was designed to serve as a setting for bloody spectacles pitting gladiators against wild beasts, or even condemned men.
