Itinerary
Day 2: KATHMANDU
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu), customs formalities, baggage claim, and transfer to the hotel. Once settled in, it's time to begin your Nepal adventure. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour from Thamel to Durbar Square, the historic heart of the city. This is a great way to settle into the country and experience its atmosphere. Visit some of its most famous attractions, such as Kumari Bahal, a richly decorated building with beautiful wood carvings and the home of the Royal Kumari, a young girl known as the "living goddess." We'll take a look at Hanuman Dhoka, the former royal palace whose courtyard, Nassal Chowk, was the coronation site of the Shah kings and also contains some of the finest wood carvings. Jagannath Mandir, dating back to the 14th century, is the oldest temple in the area, its steps carved with inscriptions in several languages. Nearby, Taleju Mandir is one of the largest and best-preserved temples in the Kathmandu Valley, dedicated to the patron deity of the former royal family, the wrathful Taleju Bhawani. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 3: KATHMANDU - PATAN - KATHMANDU
Breakfast. In the morning, we will explore Durbar Square in Patan, a historic city a few kilometers south of Kathmandu's city center. This traditionally Buddhist stronghold, home to approximately one-sixth of Nepal's population, is a true Eastern treasure where Buddhism and Hinduism meet, creating a fascinating architectural landscape in the Newar style. Durbar Square is considered one of the world's finest cityscapes, its centerpiece being the palace of the Malla monarchs, who ruled Nepal for six centuries. Stroll through this impressive complex, which features a series of beautiful courtyards with ornate windows and columned arcades, temples, and shrines, all renowned for their exquisite carvings. Admire the Krishna Temple in the square and the Mahavhar Rudra Varna Buddhist monastery. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Kritipur, an ancient city steeped in history, rich culture, and numerous monuments. It is home to many viharas, chaityas, temples, and beautiful ancient buildings. You will have the opportunity to see the blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. We will also visit the village of Chobar, situated on a high ridge overlooking the Chobar Gorge and accessible only on foot. Myths and legends about the birth of the Kathmandu Valley tell of the deity Manjushri, who cleaved Chobar Hill in two with a mighty sword, releasing the water from a primordial lake and opening the fertile valley for habitation. Return to Kathmandu. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 4: KATMANDU
After breakfast, depart for a spiritual start to the day with an early morning excursion that includes the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. Situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, the vast Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the holiest Hindu shrines in the world. Thousands of pilgrims flock to this temple every year during Shivaratri, Lord Shiva's birthday. There are many striking features, such as the grand golden temple with three roofs, but so much is happening around it, with the throngs of worshippers and pilgrims, that the hustle and bustle becomes an attraction in itself. Entry to the main temple is restricted to Hindus only. Behold the beautiful Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath, which traces its origins back to King Mana Dev in the 5th century. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the world's major centers of Tibetan Buddhism and is adorned with traditional prayer scrolls and Tibetan prayer flags. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Bhaktapur, the best-preserved city and the one that exudes the greatest sense of harmony. There we find the Palace of Fifty-Five Windows, which houses the National Gallery of Art. The palace entrance, or Golden Gate, known as Sunko Dhoka, is a masterpiece of balance. Opposite the palace building, we find a mix of temples in different styles. Return to the hotel in Kathmandu. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 5: KATHMANDU - BANDIPUR
Breakfast and departure by road to Bandipur. En route, there will be a stop where you can optionally book an excursion to visit Manakamana Temple, accessible by cable car (payable directly on site). The 2.7 km journey ascends just over 1,000 meters and takes about 10 minutes from the lower station to the top. The pagoda-style temple dates back to the 17th century, and from the north face, you can admire the breathtaking views of the Manaslu, Himachali, and Annapurna ranges. Lunch at a local restaurant. The journey continues to Bandipur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon free to explore the area on your own. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: BANDIPUR - POKHARA
After breakfast, depart north to Pokhara, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. En route, enjoy lush landscapes in the shadow of magnificent mountain ranges. Arrive in Pokhara and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on Phewa Lake to visit Taal Barahi Temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Durga, which occupies a small, tree-covered islet about 200 meters from the waterfront. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 7: POKHARA
Start your day at the very top, in every sense of the word, to witness the sunrise from Sarangkot, a 1,600-meter-high mountain on the northern shore of Phewa Lake (this visit is subject to weather conditions). In the changing morning light, you'll see the eight snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range bathed in a kaleidoscope of golden shadows—a truly breathtaking natural phenomenon. Tea or coffee will be served at a local café in Sarangkot. On the way to the viewpoint, we'll take a beautiful walk through the Schima-Catonopsis forest, where you can also enjoy views of the lake and its tributary rivers. We'll return to the hotel with a hike through the forest, which can now be appreciated in the splendor of the natural light bursting through the branches. Breakfast. After a rest and refreshment, we'll enjoy a morning tour of Pokhara to see its main attractions, such as the Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. Afterwards, we'll depart to visit Davis Falls, Guptshore Cave, and a Tibetan camp. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel and the afternoon is free for you to enjoy at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 8: POKHARA - KATHMANDU
Breakfast. Transfer by road to Kathmandu, passing through the bucolic Nepalese landscape and parallel to the white waters of the Trishuli and Marshyangdi rivers. En route, a stop will be made for lunch at a local restaurant. After this stop, the journey continues towards Kathmandu. Arrival at the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.Day 9: KATHMANDU
Breakfast and free time until your transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu).

-Special foods: cases of
food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, vegetarian food, etc.) must
be communicated before arrival in Nepal, although not it is not possible to guarantee any
special diet or menu.
-Free time: During free time,
clients do not have access to transportation or a local guide.
-Possible route changes: Our
representative in Nepal has the full right to modify the program for
the benefit of the client or due to force majeure without losing any of the
scheduled visits.
-Luggage: In case of loss of luggage
by the airlines, it will be the passenger's responsibility to manage the
claim and call the company directly to process the delivery or
compensation that may apply. Luxotour will not be responsible for any processing due to lost or broken luggage.
-Consumer withdrawal: the tour is
sold as a closed package, so there will be no refund or discount for any services that customers decide not to enjoy or in which they cannot
participate due to personal, medical, flight schedule or other events.
-Behavior during the trip: in the event that
a passenger's attitude endangers the operation of the tour and/or causes
inconvenience to the rest of the group, the latter will be forced to leave the tour without
any type of discount or refund for the services they cannot enjoy.
-Credit card: generally, hotel establishments
require the passenger to have a credit card or a cash deposit as a guarantee to facilitate the services of
phone calls, extras in bars and restaurants, minibar, laundry,
room service charges, etc.

in Nepal: It is the client's responsibility to inform themselves about the regulations
in force regarding entry and exit to the country to which they are traveling, as well as
to carry the personal documents required by the authorities. Luxotour does not
