Itinerary

  • Day 1: CITY OF ORIGIN - SEOUL

    Departure on a scheduled flight to Seoul. Overnight flight.

  • Day 2: SEOUL

    Arrival at Incheon Airport and transfer to the hotel in Seoul. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
  • Day 3: SEOUL

    Breakfast. At 9:00 AM, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and depart for a full day exploring South Korea's capital city on the Jihachul subway. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, this "shining palace of happiness," one of the five palaces of the Joseon Dynasty, which includes the Folklore Museum and its collection of artifacts from traditional Korean life. Next, visit Jogyesa Temple, one of the largest in the city and the center of the Jogyejong Buddhist Order, which promotes Zen meditation. Enjoy a delicious bibimbap lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, stroll through the Bukchon district. This district, nicknamed the "Northern Village," is home to some 900 traditional Korean houses and offers a unique cultural immersion into old Korea. Then, explore Insadong Street, which is filled with antique shops and art galleries. In the early afternoon, discover an incredible entertainment show on stage ("Cooking Nanta"). This non-verbal comedy, enlivened by the sounds of cooking utensils, combines traditional and much more modern music, cleverly blending the genres of comedy and burlesque. Accommodation.
  • Day 4: SEOUL - GYEONGJU

    After breakfast, depart by high-speed train (KTX) to Gyeongju, the spiritual and cultural capital of Korea. Upon arrival, depart for a day dedicated to discovering the famous Yangdong Village, one of the largest traditional villages in Korea. A true reflection of Joseon Dynasty culture, it blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings. Thanks to its numerous national treasures and folk elements, the village was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled among valleys, with the four peaks of Mount Seolchangsan as a backdrop, the village boasts some 160 ancient houses, including 500-year-old thatched cottages. Fifty-four of these dwellings, over 200 years old, have been remarkably preserved, offering visitors an authentic immersion in traditional Korean architecture. Lunch at a local restaurant.   • Day 5: GYEONGJU – BUSAN

    Breakfast and departure for a panoramic tour of the city, nicknamed the "Museum Without Walls." This ancient capital of the Silla kingdom was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Visit the Bulkugsa Temple (UNESCO) and then the Seokguram Grotto (UNESCO). Built in the 8th century on the slopes of Mount Toham, it contains a monumental statue of Buddha gazing out to sea. The complex is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, stroll through Tumuli Park, dotted with 23 tombs of Silla rulers and their families, and visit the tomb of the "Celestial Horse." Many treasures were discovered during archaeological excavations and are now on display. Next, visit the Noseo-dong tombs before making a final stop at the oldest observatory in the Far East, Cheomseongdae Tower, built in 634. Here, royal astronomers studied the movement of the stars and predicted solar and lunar eclipses. In the afternoon, transfer to Busan by road (with a guide). Check in to your hotel and overnight stay.
  • Day 6: BUSAN

    Breakfast and departure for Gamcheon Cultural Village, an old district perched atop a hill. The houses here were built by refugees fleeing the Korean War. Today, it's an artistic village adorned with murals and sculptures created by local residents. Next, a stroll through Jagalchi Fish Market and the International Market, where all sorts of goods are sold. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the early afternoon, a stop at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery, the only one of its kind in the world, managed by the United Nations since 1960. The site pays tribute to the 37,895 members of the UN forces who died during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

  • Day 7: BUSAN - SEOUL

    Breakfast and free time until your transfer (unguided) to the station for your high-speed train (KTX) to Seoul. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
  • Day 8: SEOUL

    Breakfast and a free day at your leisure to continue exploring the city on your own or book an optional excursion to complete your visit. Overnight stay.

    Optional activity: For this day, we offer an optional excursion to visit Cheorwon and its small section of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

  • Day 9: SEOUL - JEONJU - NAMWON

    Breakfast and free time until your transfer time.

    Take the subway to the train station to board the high-speed train (KTX) to Jeonju (with a local guide). Upon arrival, tour the city by taxi. Jeonju is famous for its traditional Hanok Village. Explore the beautiful hanok houses and truly experience one of the country's traditional and cultural hubs, rich in craftsmanship and know-how. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, head to the market for a leisurely stroll among the stalls, followed by a visit to a makgeolli workshop, where you'll learn about this traditional Korean rice liquor. Then, take a taxi to Namwon, where you'll stay in one of the country's most unique accommodations: a luxury hanok that brilliantly blends traditional charm with modern comforts. You'll also have the opportunity to visit a charming little garden and its typical pavilions a few hundred meters from the hanok.

  • Day 10: NAMWON - JEONJU - SEOUL

    Breakfast and free time to stroll through the serene surroundings of Gwanghalluwon Garden, built in the typical Joseon Dynasty style. Afterward, we will travel by taxi to the famous Damyang Bamboo Forest. In a peaceful and tranquil natural setting, wander among the immense rows of bamboo and discover nature's abundance. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the early afternoon, depart Gwangju by taxi to Jeonju Station to board the KTX high-speed train to Seoul (with a local guide). Upon arrival, transfer by subway to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.
  • Day 11: SEOUL

    Breakfast and free time until your transfer to Incheon Airport.

Observations

The baggage allowance for ground transportation (bus/train) is one piece of hand luggage plus one suitcase per person. If you are traveling with more luggage, there may not be enough space on the transport vehicle, and you may have to leave some of your belongings behind.

-Free time: During free time, clients will not have access to transportation or a local guide.

-Possible route changes: Our representative in South Korea has the full right to readjust the order and schedule of visits, hotels, restaurants, and means of transport once the trip has begun and for the benefit of the client, or to cancel the program due to force majeure, without prior notice and without this does not entail any type of refund.

-Consumer Withdrawal: The program is sold as a closed package, therefore there will be no refund or discount for services that clients choose not to use or in which they cannot participate due to personal or medical reasons, flight schedules, or other events.

-Conduct During the Trip: If a passenger's behavior jeopardizes the operation of the tour and/or causes disturbance to the rest of the group or at the hotels, they will be forced to leave the tour without any discount or refund for services they cannot use.

-Credit Card: Generally, hotels require passengers to provide a credit card or a cash deposit as a guarantee to provide services such as telephone calls, extras in bars and restaurants, minibar, laundry, room service charges, etc.

-Personal Documentation and entry requirements for South Korea: It is the client's responsibility to inform themselves about the current entry and exit regulations of the country they are traveling to, as well as to carry the personal documents required by the authorities. Luxotour assumes no responsibility in this regard. Please note that visa, transit, entry, and vaccination regulations vary from country to country and may be subject to change at short notice.
