Itinerary

  • Day 1: CITY OF ORIGIN - AUCKLAND

    Departure on a regular flight to Auckland. Night on board.

  • Day 2: ON FLIGHT TO AUCKLAND

    On flight to Auckland.

  • Day 3: AUCKLAND

    Arrival at Auckland International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.

  • Day 4: AUCKLAND

    Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a visit to the West Coast, specifically Muriwai Regional Park, whose main feature is its black sand beach. This beach is very popular with surfers. The excursion continues with a visit to the Auckland Museum, with its interesting collection of Māori and Polynesian art and artifacts. Afterward, we will visit Parnell, one of Auckland's oldest neighborhoods, where we will take a stroll. Next, we depart for Mission Bay and then head back to the city center to visit the Auckland Viaduct. The tour concludes with a visit to the Sky Tower, Auckland's 328-meter-tall tower. From there, you can admire a unique view of the city and its two harbors: Waitemata and Manukau. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free. Overnight stay.
  • Day 5: AUCKLAND – WAITOMO – ROTORUA

    Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Waitomo to visit the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. We will begin our journey south from Auckland through the Bombay Hills, passing through the rich agricultural region of Waikato. Upon arrival in Waitomo, we will enjoy a guided tour that will take you through over 250 meters of stunning underground landscapes. The highlight of your visit is a boat trip along the Waitomo River, where you will see thousands of glowing worms that form the Glowworm Grotto. As you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights, you will experience a serene atmosphere and be fascinated and intrigued by the small luminous worms that illuminate your path. After the tour, you will enjoy a traditional New Zealand-style barbecue at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will continue to Rotorua and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit Te Puia, a thermal reserve and Māori cultural center with the New Zealand National Institute of Arts and Crafts, home to a prestigious woodcarving school. At this reserve, you will see various silica and boiling mud deposits and tour the geysers within the reserve. Afterwards, you will be welcomed in traditional style and enjoy a demonstration of Māori dances and songs. Later, you will enjoy a typical Māori cultural dinner. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
  • Day 6: Rotorua – Christchurch

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Waimangu Thermal Reserve, a vast valley with abundant geothermal activity, where you can see the effects of the 1886 eruption of Mount Tarawera. Afterward, transfer to Rotorua Airport. Upon arrival in Christchurch, enjoy a short panoramic tour of the city. After the tour, transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
  • Day 7: CHRISTCHURCH – LAKE TEKAPO

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today we'll explore the area around Christchurch, and mid-morning, we'll depart for Lake Tekapo, a beautiful alpine lake with crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by mountains, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd. In the afternoon, our Kiwi hosts will welcome you to their home where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner, and to finish, you'll have the chance to taste the famous New Zealand dessert, Pavlova. Transfer to your hotel and overnight stay.
  • Day 8: LAKE TEKAPO - TE ANAU

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure from Tekapo towards Te Anau. During the tour we will be able to see impressive views of Mount Cook, the highest peak in the country (3,750 m) and turquoise glacial lakes. We will continue our journey through the MacKenzie Country area. We will visit the “Bungy Bridge” (jump not included) where the well-known “Bungee Jumping” originated. Next, we will visit a vineyard in the Central Otago region where you will enjoy a tasting of locally produced wines and lunch. Afterwards, continue to your hotel in Te Anau. Accommodation.

  • Day 9: TE ANAU - MILFORD SOUND – QUEENSTOWN

    Breakfast and departure on an excursion to Milford Sound (*), traveling through Fjords National Park. A boat trip will take us out onto the Tasman Sea, where you can appreciate the magnificence of this fjord, Mitre Peak, and Bowen Falls. Lunch is included during the crossing. After the cruise, continue by road to Queenstown, or if you prefer, you can choose to book air transport locally (light aircraft or helicopter) flying over this park of towering waterfalls, rainforest, coastlines, rivers, and valleys before arriving in the city (the additional cost of this optional service will be paid locally, as will the booking fee, since air transport is subject to weather conditions). Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

    (*) The operation of the Milford excursion is subject to weather conditions. In case of cancellation, if available, clients will be offered an excursion to Doubtful Sound at an additional cost, payable directly locally. In case the Doubtful Sound tour is unavailable, we will book a Walter Peak tour in Queenstown.

  • Day 10: QUEENSTOWN

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a half-day panoramic tour of the Queenstown area, including a visit to the historic mining town of Arrowtown. The tour concludes with a return to Queenstown, followed by a ride on the Skyline Gondola to the summit of Bob's Peak for spectacular panoramic views of the region. Return to the hotel at your own expense. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

    Note: For departures from April 2026 onwards, a farewell lunch at a local restaurant is included on this day.

  • Day 11: QUEENSTOWN

    Breakfast at the hotel. Free day at your leisure to continue exploring the city on your own. Overnight stay.
  • Day 12: QUEENSTOWN

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Queenstown International Airport in regular service with an English-speaking driver.

  • Day 13: HOMETOWN

    Arrival, end of the trip and of our services.

Special cancellation conditions

-International Flights: Once issued, tickets are non-refundable. Name changes are not permitted.

-Rotorua-Christchurch Domestic Flight: Cancellations up to 51 days before arrival in New Zealand are free of charge. Cancellations within 50 days of arrival in New Zealand will incur a 100% penalty. Name change not permitted.

-Administration fees: €30 per booking from the moment of confirmation.

-Land services:

*Up to 31 days before the start date of the trip: Free cancellation.

*Between 30 and 15 days before the start date of the trip: 25% penalty.

*Between 14 and 8 days before the start date of the trip: 50% penalty.

*Cancellations within 7 days of the start date of the trip will incur a 100% penalty.

-The deadline for requesting reservations for this circuit or extra services will be 50 days before the date of arrival in New Zealand. The request for changes or new services cannot be guaranteed after the reservation deadline and these will remain on request.

-Possible changes in the accommodations: if in any of the departures it was not possible to confirm the planned hotels, an alternative will be offered to the client within the same category.

-Times of entry and exit in the rooms: clients may make use of from their rooms from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival at the hotel and until 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

-triple rooms: keep in mind that, in most hotels, the third bed in a triple room can be slightly smaller than the existing beds in the room, sometimes being a roll-away bed.

-Breakfast: if clients are scheduled to leave the hotel before the restaurant opens, they will not be able to have breakfast and this service is non-refundable.

-Possible change of route : our representative in New Zealand has the full right to modify the program for the benefit of the client or for reasons of force majeure.

-Free time: during free time clients do not They do not have transportation, nor a local guide.

-Consumer withdrawal: the circuit is sold as a closed package , so there will be no refund or discount for the services that customers decide not to enjoy or in which they cannot participate due to personal or medical reasons, flight schedules or other events.

-Behavior during the trip: in the event that the attitude of a passenger endangers the operation of the tour and/or causes inconvenience to the rest of the group, they will be forced to leave the circuit without any type of discount or refund for the services that you cannot enjoy.

-Personal documentation and entry requirements in New Zealand: it is the client's responsibility to find out about the current regulations regarding entry and exit from the country to the that you are traveling, as well as carry the personal documents required by the authorities. Luxotour does not assume any responsibility in this regard. Keep in mind that visa, transit, entry and health requirements regulations vary from one country to another and, in turn, can be modified in the short term and without prior notice.

Conditions for children

Children under 2 years old are not accepted on this program. The published price for children ages 2 to 11 sharing a room with 2 adults does not include an extra bed for the child (maximum 2 children per room). Children 12 and older pay as adults.
