Itinerary

  • Day 1: ANTANANARIVO

    Arrival at the capital's airport, visa formalities, reception by the Spanish-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel, with a brief briefing on the next stage, distribution of informational materials and a welcome gift. Overnight stay.
  • Day 2: ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE NATIONAL PARK

    Breakfast and departure for Andasibe National Park, traveling east through a landscape of rice paddies that gives way to tropical rainforests inhabited by the Bezanozano and Betsimisaraka ethnic groups, with the possibility of seeing the famous ravinala or traveler's tree, a symbol of Madagascar; lunch in Moramanga, a crossroads and meeting point for eastern ethnic groups, visit to its lively market, continuation to Andasibe National Park, check-in at the lodge and introductory talk by the guide about the route and Madagascar in general. Overnight stay.

  • Day 3: ANDASIBE NATIONAL PARK

    Breakfast and very early departure for Analamazaotra National Park (within Andasibe National Park) for a ±4-hour walking tour where we will observe the Indri, the largest lemur on the island, as well as chameleons, frogs, tree ferns, and pandanus trees; after lunch (not included), a stroll through the small village of Andasibe to meet the Betsimisaraka people and, at the scheduled time, a night visit to the VOIMMA or VAKONA Reserve to appreciate various species of endemic fauna of the rainforest, such as the micro-zebu, before returning to the lodge. Overnight stay.

  • Day 4: ANDASIBE, ANTANANARIVO, AMBOHIMANGA, ANTANANARIVO

    Early breakfast and return to Antananarivo, “The City of a Thousand,” so named in honor of the thousand soldiers who protected the queen during the Merino monarchy; visit to the Citadel of Ambohimanga (the Blue Hill), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and site of the palaces and fortifications of the last Merino dynasties, lunch on your own, and visit to the La Digue Handicraft Market, the largest Malagasy art fair and one of the largest markets in Africa, followed by check-in at the hotel.

  • Day 5: ANTANANARIVO - DIEGO SUAREZ - THE 3 BAYS

    Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to the northern capital of the island. (If there are two domestic flight options, please always book the first one in the morning). Arrival, welcome in Spanish, and 4x4 excursion to visit the three bays (Sakalava Bay, Pigeon Bay, and Dunes Bay) and enjoy a panoramic view of the famous "Sugarloaf" Nosy Longo, in the vast Diego Suarez Bay, which, with a coastline of 156 km, is the second largest in the world after Rio de Janeiro. After lunch (on your own), check-in at the hotel. This part of the tour will be adjusted to the arrival time of the domestic flight; you may have lunch or check into your hotel before the excursions. Overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Emerald Sea

    Breakfast and departure for Ramena Beach to begin an excursion on a traditional Sakalava schooner through the turquoise waters of the Emerald Sea to Nosy Suarez Island (it is advisable to bring a waterproof bag for photographic equipment and valuables), where we will have lunch of fish and seafood prepared by sailors from the Sakalava and Antakarana ethnic groups; free time on the beaches of Nosy Suarez and in the Emerald Sea, return in the afternoon by schooner to Ramena Beach and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

  • Day 7: DIEGO SUAREZ - TSINGYS ROJOS - AMBER MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

    Breakfast and early departure in a 4x4 to the Red Tsingys of Irodo, where we will discover a magnificent, otherworldly landscape unique in the world. Continue to Ambre Mountain National Park for an easy ± 3-hour walk, where we will observe some of the island's endemic lemur species, such as the Eulemur coronatus, the world's smallest chameleon, the Brookesia micra, as well as one of the most beautiful dense tropical forests in the country. Visit the sacred waterfall and the "Thousand Trees" walk. Picnic lunch not included (we recommend ordering a picnic at the hotel the night before). In the afternoon, check in to the hotel.   • Day 8: AMBER MOUNTAIN NP - ANKARA NP - AMBILOBE

    Early breakfast and departure by 4x4 to Ankarana National Park for a 2.5-hour hike to observe the impressive "tsingys," limestone spires up to 100 meters high, discovering fauna and flora such as Canarium madagascariensis, Pachypodium baronia, Adansonia perrieri baobab, orchids, pandanus, Eulemur coronatus, Eulemur sanfordi, and bats; picnic lunch not included (recommended to order the night before at the hotel), continuation to Ambilobe and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

  • Day 9: AMBILOBE - ANKIFY - NOSY BE

    Breakfast and departure for the port of Ankify, passing through plantations of cinnamon, cocoa, coffee, and ylang-ylang; arrival at the jetty to take a speedboat to the island of Nosy Be, arrival at the port of Hellville, capital of the “perfume island,” and transfer to the chosen hotel.   • Day 10: NOSY BE

    Breakfast and at the agreed time, transfer to Fascene International Airport for your return flight.

Cancellation

Ground Services:

  • Cancellations made between 62 - 47 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 25% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 46 - 32 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 50% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 31 - 16 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 75% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 15 - 0 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 100% of the total amount of the confirmed services.

Flights:

Reservations made between 62 - 47 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 25% of the total amount of the confirmed services.


  • Airlines do not allow name changes.

    Date changes are only permitted before the airline tickets are issued.
