Ground Services:

  • Cancellations made between 62 - 47 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 25% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 46 - 32 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 50% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 31 - 16 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 75% of the total amount of the confirmed services.
  • Cancellations made between 15 - 0 days before the start of the trip are subject to a penalty of 100% of the total amount of the confirmed services.

  • Airlines do not allow name changes.

    Date changes are only permitted before the airline tickets are issued.

    Once airline tickets have been issued, they are non-refundable.

    -Free time: During free time, clients do not have transportation or a local guide.

    -Possible change of route: Our representative in Madagascar has the full right to modify the program for the benefit of the client or for reasons of force majeure without losing any of the scheduled visits.

    -Possible changes in accommodations: If it is not possible to confirm the planned hotels or lodges for any of the departures, an alternative will be offered to the client within the same contracted category.

    -Luggage: In the event of lost luggage by the airlines, it will be the passenger's responsibility to manage the claim and call the company directly to arrange for delivery or compensation that may apply. Luxotour will not be responsible for any processing of lost or broken luggage.

    -People with reduced mobility: some places, accommodations and transport are not adapted for wheelchairs, please check and notify before making the reservation. Any additional assistance costs required during the tour will be the responsibility of the client.

    -Special foods: cases of food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, vegetarian food, etc.) must be communicated before arrival in Madagascar, although it is not possible to guarantee any type of special diet or menu.

    -Withdrawal of the consumer: the circuit is sold as a closed package, so there will be no refund or discount for services that customers decide not to enjoy or in which they cannot participate due to personal, medical, flight schedule or other events.

    Day 1: ANTANANARIVO

    Arrival at the capital's airport, visa formalities, reception by the Spanish-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel, with a brief briefing on the next stage, distribution of informational materials and a welcome gift. Overnight stay.

    Day 2: ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE

    Breakfast and departure for Antsirabe, crossing the Malagasy Highlands amidst terraced rice paddies along the RN7 road, passing through Behenjy, known for its foie gras, and Ambatolampy, where you will visit a workshop producing handcrafted aluminum pots. Arrival in Antsirabe, a spa town founded by Norwegian Lutheran missionaries in the late 19th century, and check-in at the hotel. Lunch on your own, and in the afternoon, a tour by pousse-pousse (a traditional horse-drawn carriage) through the historic center, visiting the Atsena Kely market, the Cathedral, the train station, the Notre Dame de la Salette Cathedral, and French colonial buildings such as the Hotel des Thermes, where King Mohammed V stayed in 1953. Overnight stay.

    Day 3: ANTSIRABE - AMBOSITRA - RANOMAFANA P.N

    Breakfast and departure for Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy handicrafts, located at an altitude of 1350 m and renowned for its Zafimaniry artisans, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO for their woodworking tradition. The cradle of the Betsileo ethnic group, Ambositra offers the opportunity to visit marquetry and silk workshops or stroll through its streets. Between July and September, the “Famadihana” or return of the dead may take place, a family celebration to which attendance is by invitation only. Lunch on your own and continuation to Ranomafana National Park, arriving at sunset and checking into the hotel. Overnight stay.

    Day 4: RANOMAFANA - SAHAMBAVY NATIONAL PARK

    Early breakfast followed by a walking tour of Ranomafana National Park, with an approximately 4-hour hike to observe various lemur species, including Propithecus edwardsi, Hapalemur griseus ranomafanensis, and Varecia variegata, in a rainforest environment with tree ferns, orchids, and pandanus trees. The park is part of the Antsinanana Rainforests, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy panoramic views of the waterfall on the Namorona River and continue to the rural village of Sahambavy to stroll through its tea plantations, learn about the tea-making process, and taste two varieties. Check-in at the hotel by Lake Sahambavy. Overnight stay.

    Day 5: SAHAMBAVY - FIANARANTSOA - AMBALAVAO - ANJA RESERVE - ISALO

    Breakfast and departure for Ranohira, with a stroll through the old town of Fianarantsoa and panoramic views from the Haute Ville (Town Hall). Continue to Ambalavao to learn about the production of Antemoro paper and visit the Anjà Nature Reserve, where you can observe ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta), chameleons, and Betsileo-South tombs (hiking approximately 1.5 hours). Lunch on your own and continue to Isalo National Park, ending the highland tour and beginning the descent through the Malagasy savanna and desert landscapes. Overnight stay.

    Day 6: ISALO NATIONAL PARK

    Breakfast and visit to Isalo National Park (easy-moderate level), exploring Namaza Canyon with the Waterfall of the Nymphs, Blue Pool, and Black Pool (picnic not included). The park, the most visited on the island, is known for its deep canyons, streams, Bara tombs, historical caves, and diverse lemur species such as the rufous-fronted lemur (Eulemur fulvus rufus), the rufous-fronted lemur (Eulemur rufifrons), and the Verreaux's lemur (Propithecus verreauxi verreauxi), as well as endemic flora like the Bismarck palm (Bismarckia nobilis), aloes, and Pachypodiums. Return to the lodge and visit to the Bara village of Antabara in Ikazandreno, ending with sunset from the "window of Isalo" and return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

    Day 7: ISALO - RENIALA RESERVE - TULEAR - IFATY

    Early breakfast and route south, observing the Mahafaly tombs, decorated with sculpted or painted stelae and covered with zebu skulls and horns, as well as the first baobabs in southern Malagasy. Lunch on your own at the Auberge de la Table and visit to the Tropic of Capricorn Monument, a work by the artist Bruno Decorte in Tulear, where you will receive a certificate of attendance. Continue to the Reniala Reserve for an approximately 1-hour walk through its baobab forest. Check-in at the hotel on Ifaty or Madiorano beach.

    Day 8: TULEAR - ANTANANARIVO

    Breakfast and at the agreed time (If there are two domestic flight options, please always book the first one in the morning) transfer to Tuléar Airport without assistance from a Spanish-speaking guide, domestic flight to the capital. Arrival in Antananarivo, reception in Spanish and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay

    Breakfast and group transfer at 11:15 to Ivato International Airport, with arrival scheduled for approximately 12:15 to catch the return flight. If all members of the group are traveling with the same airline, the transfer times will be adjusted accordingly. End of our services.
