The best plans to discover Zhangjiajie
What to see in Zhangjiajie?
Yuanjiajie Park
Scenic by the Golden Whip Valley, Yangjiajie is one of the less crowded and rugged areas of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, but more authentic. It's located in the northern part of the park, in Hunan Province. This park is famous for its impressive rock formations that inspired the floating mountains in the movie "Avatar."
Baofeng Lake
A beautiful artificial freshwater lake located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, visitors can take a cruise to relax and enjoy the beautiful rock formations surrounding it.
Tianmen Mountain
Known as the "Gateway to Heaven," this is a must-see when visiting Zhangjiajie. At its summit, there's a naturally created hole that resembles the entrance to a cave, hence its name. The breathtaking views, vertical cliffs, fascinating cliff walk, glass-bottom walkway, and the longest cable car make it, without a doubt, one of the best natural sites to visit in China.
Golden Whip Creek
Located in Zhangjiajie, between Laomo Bay and Shui Rao Shi Meng, this quiet, deep stream runs from the cliff known as “Golden Whip,” passing through various rock formations and natural pools, and is one of the first scenic spots in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
