The small island of Gangga, located in North Sulawesi, is the first of the Sangie Islands, which connect northern Indonesia to the Philippines. It is a 20-minute speedboat ride plus about 70 minutes by road from Manado International Airport.
It is a tropical gem world-renowned as a diver's paradise, serving as a strategic base for exploring three distinct marine ecosystems: Bunaken Marine Park, the Bangka Archipelago, and the Lembeh Strait. The island offers access to more than 30 dive sites. You can see everything from rare macro species (such as blue-ringed octopuses and pygmy seahorses) to large pelagic species like reef sharks and turtles. In addition to diving and snorkeling, you can enjoy aromatherapy treatments at the spa of the island's only hotel, take excursions to local villages, or simply relax on sun loungers overlooking the lagoon.
