Ban Xanghai Village

Ban Xang Hai is a village in Laos known as "the whiskey village," though it's also famous for its production of Lao silk fabrics. It's located about 29 km north of Luang Prabang, on the banks of the Mekong River. It's a common stop on boat tours to the Pak Ou Caves. The village offers a glimpse into rural Lao life, with a peaceful atmosphere and friendly locals.

The main attraction is the local handicrafts. You can watch artisans working at their looms and admire the colorful silk fabrics. You can also observe the process of making traditional rice whiskey.
