Ahungalla

It is a small coastal town located in the southwest of Sri Lanka known mainly for its beach of fine golden sand about 3 kilometers long, bathed by warm blue waters and bordered by an extensive belt of palm trees. Southeast of the city is the Madu Ganga mangrove area. Its economy is based on maritime fishing and tourism.
