Located just 2 kilometers from Sapa. It is inhabited by the Mong ethnic group, one of the most traditional ethnic groups in the area and settled since the 19th century. Like the rest of the ethnic groups, they are dedicated to traditional trades, rice cultivation on terraces, and the occasional animal such as cows, buffalo or even goats in the fields. Within the traditional trades, their specialty could be textiles, even creating the thread itself, as well as silversmithing, something that is also repeated in other traditional villages. Something curious about this village is its traditional wedding ceremony known as “the theft of the bride.”
