Finland is a country in Northern Europe that borders Sweden, Norway and Russia. Its capital, Helsinki, occupies a peninsula and surrounding islands in the Baltic Sea. Helsinki is home to the 18th-century Suomenlinna sea fortress, the modern Design District and various museums. The Northern Lights can be seen from the country's Arctic province of Lapland, a vast wilderness area with national parks and ski resorts. Around 75% of its surface is covered in forest, and it has the largest archipelago in the world, as well as the largest lake district and the last great wilderness in Europe, Lapland. Spanish citizens can enter Finland with a valid DNI or PASSPORT. Being a member country of the European Union, you do not need visas or special documentation.
There are two official languages: Finnish and Swedish. Finnish is the native language of approximately 87% of Finns, and Swedish is the native language of the remaining 5% of Finns.
