- FLIGHTS:
100% penalty from the moment the airline tickets are issued. Date and name changes not permitted.
- CIRCUIT:
*Cancellations received up to 21 days prior to the service start date will not incur a penalty.
*Cancellations received between 20 and 14 days prior to the service start date will incur a penalty of 20% of the total service cost.
*Cancellations received between 13 and 8 days prior to the service start date will incur a penalty of 40% of the total service cost.
*Cancellations received between 7 and 4 days prior to the service start date will incur a penalty of 60% of the total service cost.
*Cancellations received 3 days or less prior to the service start date will incur a penalty of 100%.
-Guaranteed departures for 2 or more passengers.
-The deadline for reservation requests for this tour or extra services will be 21 days prior to arrival in Japan. After this deadline, any changes or added services will incur an emergency handling fee. Requests for changes or new services cannot be guaranteed after the reservation deadline.
-Customers who choose to enjoy an “ONSEN” (hot springs), please note that for cultural reasons, access to the hot springs is not permitted to customers with tattoos.
-People with reduced mobility: many places in Japan, hotels and transportation are not adapted for wheelchairs, please inquire and notify before making your reservation. Any additional costs for assistance required throughout the tour will be borne by the customer.
-Rooms: The double bed is not available. Since double beds are not common in Japan, most hotels do not have this type of room. We can request them from the hotel, but we cannot guarantee them.
Single-occupancy rooms may be smaller than double-occupancy rooms.
Triple rooms cannot be guaranteed until confirmation is received from the individual hotels. These rooms are generally double rooms with 2 beds + 1 small folding bed.
-Possible changes in accommodation: if for any of the departures it is not possible to confirm the planned hotels, an alternative will be offered to the client within the same contracted category.
-Special foods: cases of food intolerances (allergies, celiac disease, vegetarian food, etc.) must be communicated before arrival in Japan, although it is not possible to guarantee any type of special diet or menu.
-Arrival transfer in Kyoto: transfers for flights arriving in Kyoto between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. will have an additional fee.
-Visits: from 10 people, the tours are operated by taxi, private car, mini-bus or coach, with an English-speaking guide according to the itinerary, including entrance fees to the monuments specified in the itinerary. Tours with fewer than 10 people are operated by public transport.
-Clients will spend some nights without their luggage, so please prepare hand luggage (up to 10kg) for those nights, as detailed in the itinerary.
-Free time: During free time, clients do not have access to transportation or a local guide.
-Possible route changes: Our representative in Japan has the full right to modify the program for the benefit of the client or due to force majeure without missing any of the scheduled visits.
-Luggage: In case of loss of luggage by the airlines, it will be the passenger's responsibility to manage the claim and call the company directly to process the delivery or compensation that may apply. Luxotour will not be responsible for any processing due to lost or broken luggage.
-Consumer withdrawal: the tour is sold as a closed package, so there will be no refund or discount for services that customers decide not to enjoy or in which they cannot participate due to personal, medical, flight schedules or other events.
-Behavior during the trip: in the event that the attitude of a passenger endangers the operation of the tour and/or causes inconvenience to the rest of the group, they will be forced to leave the tour without any type of discount or refund for the services they cannot enjoy.
-Credit card: generally, hotel establishments require the passenger to have a credit card or a cash deposit as a guarantee in order to provide telephone calls, extras in bars and restaurants, minibar, laundry, room service charges, etc.
-Personal documentation and Entry requirements for Japan: It is the client's responsibility to inform themselves about the current regulations regarding entry and exit to the country they are traveling to, as well as to carry the personal documents required by the authorities. Luxotour assumes no responsibility in this regard. Please note that visa, transit, entry, and vaccination regulations vary from country to country and are subject to change at short notice.
The price for children ages 0-5.99 does not include: crib, bed, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and seats on trains and buses. If the guest requires these services, they will have to pay as a child from ages 6-11. Children 12 and older pay as an adult. Children always share a room with two adults. Maximum one child per room.
- For flights departing Tokyo before 11:30 a.m., there may not be time to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Hotels do not offer box breakfast options and do not refund uneaten breakfasts.
- Arrival and departure transfers in Tokyo will be via regular service shared with other guests and with a Spanish-speaking guide. In some cases, transfers to/from the hotel may not be direct.
- Train: Reserved seats will be in Economy Class. This program does not offer the option to reserve First Class seats.
- Sightseeing: For groups of 6 or more passengers, the tour is operated by taxi, private car, minibus, or coach, with a Spanish-speaking guide. For groups of up to 5 passengers, the tour is operated by public transportation.
- The program includes a hike of approximately one hour (about 3 km) along the KUMANO KODO (Kumano Way), the sister route of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is recommended to pack long-sleeved clothing, footwear suitable for dirt roads, a towel, umbrella, or raincoat. If any passenger is unable to hike the Kumano Way due to physical condition or other reasons (always at the discretion of the guide), they are asked to refrain from doing so. In these cases, the client will wait on the bus, at Kumano Hongu Taisha, or at the place indicated by the guide.
- In Kawayu Onsen and Takayama, you can enjoy the ONSEN (hot springs). Please note that for cultural reasons, guests with tattoos are not permitted access to the hot springs.
- On some sections of the tour, guests will spend nights without luggage (1 night in Hiroshima, 1 night in Koyasan, 1 night in Kawayu Onsen, 1 night in Kanazawa, and 1 night in Takayama). It is recommended to prepare hand luggage (maximum 10 kg) for these nights as detailed in the itinerary.
- Tipping to drivers and guides is voluntary.

Arrive at Narita or Haneda International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Tokyo. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your Spanish-speaking guide in the lobby and depart by road for Mount Fuji. Ascend the Fuji Subaru Line to the fifth station, located at 2,305 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy the scenery. After a stroll through the fifth station, the tour continues to a sake brewery for a special tasting of this typical beverage from the Mount Fuji region. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, depart from Mount Fuji for Matsumoto. Arrival and overnight stay.

Day 5: MATSUMOTO - KAMIKOCHI - OKUHIDA
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet in the lobby to begin your visit to Matsumoto Castle, a designated National Treasure of Japan. Afterward, depart for Kamikochi, a beautiful area of the Japanese Alps located within Chubu Sangaku National Park. There, we will take an approximately 30-minute walk, ideal for enjoying some of the most spectacular scenery in the country and crossing the iconic Kappabashi Bridge. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, arrive in Okuhida, a region famous for its onsen (hot springs). Free time to relax in the hot spring baths, either outdoors or indoors. Japanese dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 6: OKUHIDA - TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet in the lobby and depart for a cable car ride (*), from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Japanese Alps. Afterward, depart from Okuhida for Takayama to explore the Kami Sannomachi shopping street, famous for its traditional atmosphere and local shops. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, depart for Shirakawago, a charming village declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, we will visit one of the traditional Gassho Zukuri-style houses, typical of those with steeply pitched thatched roofs. Later, depart from Shirakawago for Kanazawa. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
(*)The Shin Hodaka cable car will not be operating on June 19. As an alternative, we will visit the limestone cave on June 18 in Okuhida, considered the highest limestone cave in Japan.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by road to Eiheiji, where you will visit its famous temple, one of the main temples for the teaching of Zen Buddhism. Lunch at a local restaurant. Departure by road to Kyoto. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.
Important Note: Your luggage will be transferred to the Kyoto hotel separately via the "Takuhai-bin" delivery service and will arrive the following day. Please prepare your hand luggage for this evening in Kyoto.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Uji (south of Kyoto) to visit the Byodoin Hoodo Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, we will enjoy a tea ceremony. Afterwards, transfer to Iga. Lunch at a local restaurant. In Iga, we will visit the Iga Ryu Ninja Museum, during which we will also witness a ninja performance. After the visit, transfer to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.
Important note:Your bags will be transferred directly to your hotel in Tokyo. Please prepare carry-on luggage for an overnight stay in Iga.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide in the lobby and transfer to Iga to visit the Iga Ryu Ninja Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, transfer to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple, home to a colossal Buddha statue, and the famous Nara Park. Finally, depart Nara for Osaka. Arrival and overnight stay.
