The Ishasha sector is world famous for being home to tree-climbing lions, who spend much of their time in the treetops. There are different theories about the habits of these felines: from a ruse to avoid being bitten by the tsetse fly, to the best way to avoid high ground temperatures, to the fact that this watchtower is the most effective way to scan the horizon. Ishasha is also an interesting spot to observe herds of buffalo, antelope and even elephants.
