This city had its importance in the past as a resting place for caravans heading south. Currently it is an agricultural and tourist center that offers magnificent kasbahs. It has beautiful landscapes in its surroundings and is an excellent place as a departure base for adventurous travelers, especially in 4x4 vehicles.
