Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas and the largest city in the archipelago. It is located on New Providence Island, connected to the nearby Paradise Island by bridges. Founded by British settlers in 1670, it still retains many of its typical pastel British colonial-style buildings, such as the Government House, with its pink facade.
Thanks to its tropical climate, it has become an important tourist center famous for its beaches and coral reefs off its coast, very popular with diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.
An island metropolis where tranquility blends with the big city, where beautiful beaches are just the beginning, Nassau is a city full of history, art, nightlife, and culture.
