Iguazú National Park, Argentine side

Natural Heritage of Humanity since 1984 and one of the 7 natural wonders of the world since 2011, it is a unique natural universe of 67,260 hectares, full of life, abundant vegetation and 275 waterfalls (80% of them located in the Argentine side). Through walkways, you can enjoy the waterfalls and the Misionera Jungle up close. The Ecological Train crosses the jungle until it reaches the entrance of the main walks, generating the minimum environmental impact. In the park there are about 418 different species of birds that coexist with animals such as the jaguar, fish, turtles and caí monkeys. Specimens of natural flora such as rosewood and palmetto, finish decorating the environment. The falls, located on the Iguazú River, recognized as the most spectacular in the world, are the result of a volcanic eruption 200 million years ago. They are 2.7 kilometers wide. The height of the falls varies from 60 to 82 meters, the most famous being the Devil's Throat with 82 meters high, 150 meters wide and 700 meters long. It is the most impressive jump in the park and one of the most shared views in the world.

Tierra del Fuego National Park

It protects 68,909 hectares and is the only national park in Argentina that combines marine, forest and mountain environments, giving shape to the sea coast, lakes, valleys, extensive peat bogs and magnificent forests dominated by lengas, sour cherries and ñires. All these environments form a unique setting with the purest air that can be breathed. These lands are inhabited by birds such as the picturesque sea goose, the steamer duck, the black-browed albatross or the woodpecker. On its trails it is normal to come across gray and red foxes. A striking landscape in which the Lapataia Bay (the only Argentine fjord of the Beagle Channel) and the Zaratiegui Cove stand out.An entertaining way to tour a small part of the park is the famous End of the World Train, a vintage railway, with its steam locomotives and elegant cars with large windows and an individual audio system to learn about a very important part of the history of Ushuaia.

Perito Moreno Glacier

Located 80 kilometers from El Calafate, within the Glacier National Park, it is one of the few glaciers left in the world that is not in the process of retreat and that continues to advance (although this is still being debated among glaciologists). It originates in the summits of the Southern Patagonian ice field, which descends through a valley to the southern arm of Lake Argentino. Its front extends more than 5 kilometers in length, reaching more than 70 meters in height from the level of the lake waters. Its discovery took place in 1879 and 20 years later it was renamed with its current name in tribute to Francisco Pascasio Moreno, known as the “expert” due to his deep knowledge of the region. Due to its easy access, it is the main tourist destination in the south of Argentina since you can reach the glacier by land without needing to take a boat.A halo of infinite peace over nature virgin, makes it a great attraction for those who want to enjoy the pure air and the sound of silence. Sound that interrupts only the movement of the glacier, which constantly gives Lake Argentino immense blocks of ice. These, when detached from the ablation base, fall into the Canal de los Témpanos producing a deep and shocking roar.UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1981, for its glaciological interest and for protecting part of its fauna in danger of extinction.

Goat Island is located between the Canadian and American falls.Since they were discovered by European settlers they have become very popular, not only for their beauty but also for being a source of energy and a challenging environmental conservation project. They are a tourist spot shared by the cities of Niagara Falls (New York) and Niagara Falls (Ontario). The name “Niagara” originates from an Iroquois word meaning “water thunder” .
