A province of Indonesia, located in Southeast Asia, famous for its Hindu culture, volcanic landscapes, terraced rice paddies, and beaches; it is a very popular tourist destination for its combination of nature, spirituality, and activities such as surfing, yoga, and diving, standing out for its temples, art, and unique traditions in a predominantly Muslim archipelago.
It is located between the islands of Java (to the west) and Lombok (to the east). Surrounded by the Indian Ocean and the Bali Sea, near the equator, which gives it a tropical climate. Although small compared to Java, it offers a great diversity of landscapes, from volcanoes and jungles to cliffs and beaches.
Known as the “Island of the Gods” for its strong Hindu devotion, in contrast to the rest of Indonesia, which is predominantly Muslim. Rich in art (dance, music, painting), religious ceremonies, and handicrafts.
