Useful information for traveling to Alcudia
The walls of Alcudia are one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in Mallorca. Built primarily between the 13th and 14th centuries during the reign of Jaume II to protect the city from pirate attacks, they encircle the historic center with a perimeter of approximately 1.5 km and a height of nearly 6 meters. Their layout includes 26 defensive towers, and historic gates such as the Porta del Moll and the Porta de Sant Sebastià are still standing. Today, they form part of a Historic-Artistic Site, and visitors can walk along their ramparts, offering a clear view of Alcudia's strategic importance in the Middle Ages.
