Useful information for traveling to Alcúdia

The Walls of Alcúdia are one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in Mallorca. Built primarily between the 13th and 14th centuries during the reign of James II to protect the city from pirate attacks, they encircle the historic center, covering a perimeter of approximately 1.5 kilometers and rising to a height of almost 6 meters. They include 26 defensive towers, and historic gates such as Porta del Moll and Porta de San Sebastián remain intact. Today, they are part of a historical and artistic complex, and visitors can walk along their walls, providing a vivid insight into Alcúdia's strategic importance in the Middle Ages.
