What to see in Oceania?

Daintree Rainforest

Daintree National Park is a national park in northern Queensland, Australia, located 1502 km northwest of Brisbane and 100 km northwest of Cairns. It was founded in 1988, at the same time it was nominated for the World Heritage List where it was included under the joint name Wet Tropics of Queensland. Most of the national park is covered by humid rainforest. The great Daintree forest has been preserved in the same way as it is seen today, for more than one hundred million years, which probably makes it the oldest rainforest on Earth. The The park is located at the Aboriginal Site of Bouncing Stones.

Sydney Opera

It is one of the most famous and distinctive buildings of the 20th century. Declared a World Heritage Site in 2007, it was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1957 and inaugurated on October 20, 1973.Theater, ballet, opera and musical productions are performed in the building. It is home to the Australian Opera Company, the Sydney Theater Company and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. It is managed by the Opera House Trust, a public body of the state government of New South Wales. The Sydney Opera House is an expressionist construction with a radically innovative design, made up of a series of large prefabricated shells, each taken from the same hemisphere, that form the roofs of the structure. Although the roof structures of the Sydney Opera House are commonly referred to as shells, they are in fact not shells in the architectural sense of the word, as they are made up of precast concrete panels supported by precast ribs. of the same material. The shells are covered with bright white and matte cream tiles, forming a faint inverted "V" pattern, although viewed from a distance they appear uniformly white. The two largest groups of vaults that make up the theater's roof each belong to the Concert Hall and the Opera Theater. The other rooms have smaller groups of vaults as roofs. The scale of the shells was chosen to reflect the height needs of the interior, with low spaces at the entrance rising above the seating areas until reaching the tall stage towers.A very large group The smallest of the shell system is located next to the entrances and the monumental staircase, and one of the complex's restaurants. The interior of the building is built of pink granite extracted from the region of Tarana, wood and plywood from New South Wales. The Sydney Opera House contains five theatres, five rehearsal studios, two main halls, four restaurants, six bars and numerous souvenir shops.

Kings Park, Perth

It is the largest park in the world (even larger than Central Park), covering over 4 square kilometres. It is often the venue for various outdoor events. The park is a mix of parkland with lawns, botanical gardens and natural bushland on Mount Eliza. It offers panoramic views of the Swan River and Darling Range, is home to 324 varieties of native plants, 215 known species of indigenous fungi and 80 species of birds. In addition to all this, Kings Park contains the State War Memorial, the Royal Kings Park tennis club and a reservoir.

Swan River

It owes its name to the black swans that the explorer Willem de Vlamingh saw in 1967. In fact, these birds are among the most important in the city. You can visit it by cruise and the beauty of the landscape at sunset is one of the best reasons to visit Perth.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

The Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park is one of the natural environments considered a World Heritage Site since 1987. It is located in the Northern Territory of Australia, 1,431 kilometers south of Darwin by road and 440 kilometers southwest of Alice Springs via the Stuart and Lasseter Highways. It was created a national park on January 23, 1958. The park covers 1,326 square kilometers and includes the rock formation that gives it its name, Uluru, and, 40 kilometers to the west, the Kata Tjuta rock range. Every year more than 250,000 people visit the park.

Sky Tower

It began construction in 1994 and, after 2 years and 9 months, it was inaugurated on August 3, 1997. It is a 328-meter-high telecommunications and radio and television broadcasting tower, located in the center of the city which has 3 viewing points that the public can access and from which you can get impressive views of Auckland and its surroundings. It has become one of the city's largest tourist attractions, receiving some 700,000 tourists each year.

Te puia

It is an ideal complex to get to know New Zealand culture better and admire some of its natural wonders. Here you can see areas of geothermal activity, a spectacular geyser that reaches up to 30 meters high, boiling mud pools, the famous kiwis and live Maori cultural performances.

Milford Sound

It is the most famous site in New Zealand for tourists, a fjord located in the southwest of the South Island, whose beauty is indescribable. In fact, many consider it the eighth wonder of the world due to its impressive landscapes and the fact that it was declared a World Heritage Site. It extends 15 kilometers inland from the Tasman Sea and is surrounded by rugged rocks that reach more than 1,200 meters in height on each side. Among the peaks are The Elephant, which resembles the head of an elephant; and Lion Mountain, in the shape of a crouching lion. Seals, dolphins and penguins can be seen in its waters.

Bungee jumping from the Kawaru Bridge

One of the many activities you can do in Queenstown is bungy jumping from 43 meters high on the Kawaru Bridge, with the possibility of touching the water and jumping in tandem.

Pancake Rocks

It is a major tourist attraction in the southern region, located on Dolomite Point, south of the small town of Punakaiki. It is a limestone area located by the sea that has been eroded over time by water entering during high tide through vertical sea geysers. Thanks to this phenomenon, the shapes of its rocks are varied, especially the flaky ones that give the place its name, "crepe rocks." The limestone itself is composed of alternating hard and soft layers (marine animal and plant sediments).

Franz Josef Glacier

Named after an Austrian emperor, this imposing 12-kilometer-long glacier located on the west coast of the South Island is the ideal choice for an Ice Age adventure. Along with Fox Glacier, it is one of the most important glaciers in the country. It is easily accessible year-round and can be hiked from the road that connects the town of the same name. It is just a 2-kilometer walk between mountains and beautiful waterfalls to reach the glacier's terminal tongue. This glacier, due to global warming, is currently retreating. The area surrounding the two glaciers is part of Te Wahipounamu, a World Heritage-listed park. The river that emerges from the terminus of the Franz Josef Glacier is known as the Waiho River.New Zealand is a place of natural wonders of breathtaking beauty, and one of these is the Franz Josef Glacier.

Waitomo Caves

In addition to the typical stalactites and stalagmites, this cave has a spectacular peculiarity: they are luminescent. They owe this quality to its main tenant, the New Zealand glowworm. The chemical glow of this insect illuminates the ceiling as if it were a starry vault. You can see this spectacle sailing along the river that crosses the cave.
