If there are more than 9 passengers, the guide will rotate between vehicles to ensure at least a half-day safari in Spanish. This National Park is one of the largest in Africa, owing its unique landscape to a generally dry lake basin of approximately 5,000 km². Etosha was proclaimed as Namibia's first conservation area in 1907 by the then German government; at that time, it covered a large area of 93,240 km² and was then the largest game reserve in the world. Some 114 species of mammals have been found within the park, and several are rare in other parts of Africa and are in danger of extinction, such as the black rhinoceros, cheetah, and black-fronted impala. The safari includes snacks arranged by the camp, although there will be a stop at one of the park's lodges with free time for lunch (not included). Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast, then departure by road to the Damaraland region to admire its volcanic landscape and geological formations. Continue to the lodge for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, visit the Twyfelfontein rock carvings, up to 6,000 years old. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the scenery. Afterward, we will visit Sesriem Canyon, which centuries of erosion have carved into a narrow gorge nearly 1 km long. At the bottom of the gorge, which is between 30 and 40 meters high, are natural pools that fill during the rainy season. Sesriem derives its name from the time when pioneers had to tie together six lengths of leather to draw water from the pools. Lunch at the lodge and free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
