Tamezret

It is a Berber town located in the southeast of the country. It is built on a hill and is a very tourist spot. On January 10, 2020, the Tunisian government proposed this town for future classification as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is also famous for its handmade wool fabrics, especially the traditional “bakhnoug”, woven on vertical looms, then colored and embroidered.
