Villa San Lorenzo, Arg.

Located 14 km from the city of Salta, this summer resort town boasts a rich architectural heritage stemming from the diverse styles that blend seamlessly with each other and the natural landscape of the Yungas. European classicism and neo-colonial styles bear witness to the arrival of immigrants who contributed to the town's identity. Colonial, Moorish, and Italianate styles can be seen along San Lorenzo's two main avenues, and at the end of "La Dávalos" (as the locals call it), the imposing Quebrada de San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo Gorge) crowns the journey.

Situated at the foot of the eastern mountain range in the Yungas (mountain rainforests), it is a well-known starting point for hiking trails through the dense forests of the Yungas de San Lorenzo Municipal Reserve. In summer, visitors can enjoy meals at casual pizzerias, ice cream parlors, and traditional steakhouses.

The Automobile Museum houses exhibits of colorful classic cars from the 1890s onwards, and the Museum of the Güemes Epic tells the story of the local independence hero, General Güemes.
