Kirtipur is an ancient medieval town in Nepal situated on a hill about 5 to 8 km southwest of Kathmandu. Known as the "City of Glory," it is one of the oldest settlements in the valley and a key center of Newar culture. The town retains a traditional atmosphere with narrow, cobbled streets lined with red-brick houses. It is an excellent destination for sampling authentic Newari cuisine, with special restaurants serving traditional dishes in a unique cultural setting.
