Tafí del Valle is a municipality located in the Calchaquí Valleys region, in western Tucumán Province. It is surrounded by high mountains crisscrossed with trails, such as Matadero, Muñoz, and Pabellón. Within the municipality, the 18th-century Jesuit chapel of La Banda houses a museum of religious art and cultural relics.
Situated at approximately 2,000 meters above sea level, it is famous for its artisanal cheese production, mountainous landscapes, and temperate climate.
