Chinchero

It is a small town located about 30 kilometers from Cusco, located at an altitude of 3,754 meters above sea level. Its monumental area, with an area of 34,800 hectares, was declared Historical Heritage of Peru on December 28, 1972 and Archaeological Park in 2005. It was occupied before the Inca Empire. Currently you can see the remains of the palaces built for the elite, on top of which the colonial church stands.
