It was one of the main production points due to the richness of its lands and the place where the best corn grain in Peru is produced. In 2006 it was declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

What to see in The Incas' Sacred Valley?

Chinchero Church

Its real name is the Temple of Our Lady of the Nativity, although it was initially built under the name of the Church of Our Lady of Montserrat. It is a construction from the 17th century, completed in 1607, built on an old Inca building, being one of the first Catholic buildings built in Peru. Inside, its impressive filigree murals with religious motifs stand out, the most famous being a mural of the Virgin of Montserrat.
