The central small souk is the main attraction of Tangier. When Tangier was international territory, between 1923-1943 and 1945-1956, it became the meeting point for intellectuals and artists from all over the world.

Cape Spartel
It is a cape on the north coast of Africa, located at the southern entrance of the Strait of Gibraltar, 14 kilometers west of Tangier. Opposite Cape Spartel, 44 km to the north, Cape Trafalgar marks the northern entrance to the strait on the European coast.
Hercules Grotto
Located 14 kilometers from the city, it is one of the most important tourist attractions in Tangier. It has 2 openings, one towards the land and the other towards the sea, known as the “Map of Africa”. Its name comes, according to legend, because the Greek hero Heracles spent the night in this cave before carrying out his eleventh task in which he had to steal apples from the garden of the Hesperides.
